Does this count as lying?

Had to think about that one, but ya - it is lying. To see that, we only have to imagine that the victim gets older, maybe learns more, and one day applies the fallacy you gave them to some other situation. We are then responsible for their wrong conclusion. Ergo, we lied, and it did damage.
