XBox Wireless Help!!!?

I am at a hotel and I need to connect my macbook to the ethernet port, share the connection wirelessly through the airport card and connect, my xbox to the ad-hoc network created in the process. I can get the network connected trough the sharing settings but my xbox complains about not having an ip address.
