How do I convince my family to get me a Hamster?

Maybe they think you're responsible, but don't want to bring a pet into the house. It's reasonable and you can't force it on them. But it will stink up your room, even if you clean it once a week. They also have a tendency to sling their bedding out of the cage. So, I suggest to take them to a pet store around the hamsters, ask a lot of questions and show them that they are quiet (which they are) and non-smelly animals.
