Wii Internet Connection Problem?

I search for the connection and it comes up with my connection with 3 FULL bars. When I click to use it, its unlocked by the way, it says, "Unable to find an access point. Please confirm the SSID and try again." I'm using a wireless dongle on my desktop and I made an ad hoc. It works on my iPod but not on my Wii. Help please!
