Allah started this world with a man(Adam) and just one woman(Huwa),,doesn't it mean Allah likes monogamy?

It also shows that the original and principle teaching of Islam is monogamy...polygamy comes only as an "ad hoc policy" to manage some acute situations in society e.g as a result of wars,shortened number of men compared to women etc.What do you think?
