A math & logic question for American liberals & conservatives?

Wouldn't a better answer be that government needs to stop spending more than it takes in in revenue? The tax rate for the richest people in America isn't the problem, the problem is the mentality among some that government should take more money away from the people that work hard to get it, and bestow this largess on those less willing to work hard for it.
